My daughters 14th birthday cake.  I surprised my daughter by giving her a sewing machine and made a cake to go along with that theme.  She was pleasantly surprised and super excited to learn a new skill.  I took a combination of sewing machine cakes I saw online and turned it into my own design.  I loved how it turned out, especially Autumn's name in "stitching" letters.  I'm so glad that my girl is crafty.

Pear Jam or Syrup

This was a recipe I found online.  It is a great way to use up fresh pears.  I use this jam on toast or pancakes.  It has a great pear flavor.   I've also used this in banana bread when it calls for Applesauce, it was delicious!

Ingredients :
5 pears peeled and blended up
1 T lemon juice
1 T honey
1/4 t cinnamon

Directions:
Combine above ingredients in a pan and cook on medium-low for 10 minutes until heated through.
Let it cool and store in the fridge.
